Growth Form: Habit unknown.

Stems: Stems apparently 4–angled, tomentose.

Roots:

Leaves: Leaves simple. Opposite. Blades broadly ovate. Apex acute. Base truncate or cordate. Surfaces gray tomentose. Margins crenate. Petioles elongate, ⅓–½ as long as blade. Stipules absent.

Flowers: Flowers 2 or more per verticillaster, pedicels ¼–⅓ as long as calyx. Calyx radially symmetrical, narrowly campanulate, enlarging in fruit, the teeth lanceolate, 5 times as long as wide at base, splitting longitudinally, usually persistent or sometimes only ventral 1/2 persistent. Corolla color unknown but apparently pale, slightly falcate, upper lip ¼ as long as corolla, lower lip much shorter; stamens exserted well beyond upper corolla lip. Stamens 4, both pairs of similar length or upper pair slightly longer, included within corolla or well–exserted beyond upper lip; filaments inserted near throat, pubescent; anthers dithecal; anther sacs divaricate, opening by longitudinal slits. Ovary superior, 2-carpellate, each carpel longitudinally divided, placentation basal-axile; ovules 1 per ovary lobe; style 1, exserted, arising between lobes, usually cleft, diverging after anther dehiscence, shortly 2-lobed, the lobes subulate; stigmas 2.
